Vyjayanthimala’s Son Refutes Death Rumors, Affirms Bollywood Legend is in Good Health
Death hoax on Friday, when some reports alleged that actor Vyjayanthimala had died. However, reportedly, her son claimed that she is alive and well.

Vyjayanthimala’s Son Refutes Death Rumors: Vyjayanthimala was very much alive despite rumors to the contrary on rumors to have died at the age of 91. The rumors were dispelled by her son, Suchindra Bali, on Facebook and WhatsApp, while Girijashankar Sundaresan, an Indian musician, did so on Instagram.

Vyjayanthimala’s son busts death hoax
On Friday there were some reports about Vyjayanthimala dying, but the family or her team have issued no official word to that effect. Her son Suchindra reportedly wrote on social media, “Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali is in good health and any news that says otherwise is false. Before sharing, please validate the news source." Girijashankar Sundaresan, another musician, also refuted the rumors on his Instagram stories, saying, "we're better than this".
Her recent performance
In January this year, Vyjayanthimala performed at Kala Pradarshini in Chennai. Bharatnatyam was the dance form, accompanied by Girijashankar on vocals. He posted her admiration for her performance on Instagram and wrote, “An absolute honor to share the stage with Padma Vibhushan Dr. Vyjantimala Bali Amma. Her grace, talent, and legacy continue to inspire us all. Grateful to be part of this magical experience! Cherishing this moment forever.”

About Vyjayanthimala
Vyjayanthimala is regarded as one of the most talented Indian actors and one of the first female superstars in Indian cinema. At the age of 16, the actress entered to the Tamil film industry with Vaazhkai, a year later coming to the Telugu film industry with Jeevitham. But her big break came in 1954 from the romantic film Nagi. These included Chandramukhi in the 1955 film Devdas. Sangam, Jewel Thief, Amrapali, Ganwaar, and other films later became blockbusters. She was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2024, which is the second-highest civilian honour awarded by the Government of India. She contested in the general elections of 1984 in Tamil Nadu.
