Maharashtra CM Fadnavis Pledges Continuation of Infrastructure Projects, Differentiates from Uddhav Thackeray
In Kolhapur, the chief minister admitted that the project was being thwarted; however, when he addressed around 200 farmers from five talukas from the district yesterday, they assured him of their support.

Maharashtra CM Fadnavis: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis insulted Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday by claiming that the continued projects would not be put to a stop by him as his predecessor did. In making a speech thanking the governor-C. P Radhakrishnan for his address to the joint session of the state legislature, Fadnavis revealed that decisions taken by the previous Mahayuti government were not of Eknath Shinde but included a collaborative coordination.
"I am not Uddhav Thackeray to stay ongoing projects. Decisions made when Eknath Shinde was the chief minister were not his alone. They were mine and Ajit Pawar's responsibility as well," he said in the House.

He said all the alliance leaders are involved in the phrases that the Mahayuti government-that includes the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP-works in coordination for all the decisions.
Outside media, he claimed, lacked quality news and opposition parties' quality criticism.
He rebutted criticism against him on staying projects, saying, "Even if a divisional commissioner stays a scheme or project if they don't fulfil the Central government guidelines, it is said that I have put the stay."
Fadnavis held that last year's assembly elections had given that massive mandate for the Mahayuti.
"People have reposed their trust in the Mahayuti, and we are working on the future course of action to fulfil their dreams and aspirations," he said.
He further stated that the work has been prepared by the government in taking 100 days plan, which includes work from taluka level offices to Mantralaya by improving office records and people-friendly governance.
He said that all departments will be assessed by the Quality Council of India (QCI), based on their work done in 100 days, and that on May 1 those performing well would be honored.
"We want to bring in a new work culture," he said.
He mentioned that by June 2025, the Metro 3 line in Mumbai-the longest underground metro line across the country-will be fully functional and that all metro lines will be operational by 2027.

Fadnavis slammed the Opposition who have praised their state of Gujarat in attracting investments, and said that Maharashtra has three times higher investments than its neighboring state.
"Stop praising Gujarat. In a few years, the state will not have to advertise itself," he said.
He further said that the proposed 802 km Nagpur-Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway, which covers 12 districts-mostly in Marathwada-is not merely a road but also an engine of growth.
"This will connect the Western coast with south Maharashtra and provide a consummate network to Marathwada," said Fadnavis about the expressway enhancing economic development of Marathwada.
The bill suggests that the route will pass through 12 districts of Maharashtra: Wardha, Yavatmal, Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani, Beed, Latur, Dharashiv, Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Sindhudurg-before it enters Goa.
