Tragic Video of UP Highway Pile-Up That Killed 4 Surfaces; Aftermath Shows Scale of Fire Amid Dense Fog
The accident took place in the Baldev of the Mathra district at 4.30 AM on Tuesday; three of the four people died were in the buses whereas the other one was in the car.
In Uttar Pradesh in a crash resulting from poor visibility which was created by thick mists in the early morning of Tuesday, a massive fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathra involved vehicles after at least seven buses and three cars were involved in a pile up. Chandra Prakash Singh, the Mathra district magistrate (DM) said that there were four fatalities in the accident.
On the social media, a dramatic video of the tragedy aftermath emerged.
The video which was distributed by news agency ANI showed police and rescue teams at the point.

The case took place in the Baldev region of the Mathra district of UP at 4.30 AM on Tuesday. Three out of four of the dead were in the buses and one was in the car. Twelve fire tenders and 14 ambulances have been deployed at the location to rescue those who have been affected by the fire.
CM Yogi Adityanath of UP declares compensation on the victims.
The Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has taken notice of the tragedy and has announced compensation of 2 lakh to family members of every person who had died in the accident. “The incident took place at 4.30 AM on Tuesday at Milestone 127 of the Yamuna Expressway because of low visibility caused by dense fog. Seven buses and 3 cars piled up due to low visibility because of fog and this collision led to fire in which four have died and 25 injured” Mathra SSP Shlok Kumar arrived at the scene of the incident and told media.
“Those admitted are being treated, and none is reported to be serious. The traffic was diverted during rescue operation and injured are shifted by ambulances that reached. Fire has been doused,” the SSP added.
