Hyderabad Woman’s Gruesome Murder Solved, 3 Accused Nabbed From Ranchi

A case was filed on a complaint made by the husband of the dead woman.

Hyderabad Woman’s Gruesome Murder Solved, 3 Accused Nabbed From Ranchi

The Cyberabad Police cracked the case of the heinous murder of a woman here two days ago and arrested three people including two domestic helps in Ranchi, officials said on Saturday.

Police have found that it is a case of murder with gain.

Renuka Agarwal, a 50-year-old homemaker who was tied and beaten to death by the two domestic helpers at her apartment in a high-rise apartment complex in Kukatpally here on September 10.

One of the cases was registered on the complaint of the husband of the deceased woman.

According to the investigation, Harsh Kumar, a domestic helper of the family of the victim Roshan, who worked as a domestic helper of a different family in the same apartment complex, was arrested by police. One Raju Varma was also arrested by the police, who allegedly offered shelter to the duo in Ranchi following the murder, police said in the release.

Kumar and Roshan followed up on the movements of the members of the family of the Renuka Agarwal with an intention of looting money and valuables. On September 10, the day when the husband and son of the woman went to work, the pair broke into their apartment, bound up Renuka, tied her legs and hands, and cut her throat, resulting in her death, the release reported.

They then purportedly stole ornaments, cash and watches and went to Ranchi where they stayed with Raju Varma, who had provided shelter to them, police claimed. Police said that the accused had been involved in the crime as it was proven by CCTV footage.

It was said that they ornaments confessed to the crime after interrogation and they were found with 16 watches, two cell phones. Roshan was charged earlier with crime in cases booked in Ranchi, they added.
