Delhi’s AQI Remains in ‘Poor’ Category for 5th Consecutive Day on Dhanteras; Ghaziabad Tops Pollution List
The national capital had a Air Quality Index (AQI) of 268 at 4 pm which was in the poor category according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)
The air quality remained poor in Delhi on Saturday, and the fifth day in the row, with the 9 monitoring stations in the red category of the very poor category as the pollution levels soared ahead of Diwali.
Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported that at 4 pm, the national capital had an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 268 i.e. it was in poor category.

Ghaziabad is the only city in the NCR region that got a very poor AQI of 324, with Noida and Gurugram reporting poor AQIs of 298 and 258 respectively.
Among the 38 air quality stations in the capital, nine were reporting in the very poor category with some of the destinations bordering the severe category.
The data provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) shows that Anand Vihar had the worst AQI of 389, then Wazirpur (351), Bawana (309), Jahangirpuri (310), Okhla (303), Vivek Vihar (306), Dwarka (310), and Siri Fort (307).
The AQI of 51 to 100 is said to be satisfactory according to CPCB, 101 to 200 is said to be moderate, 201 to 300 is said to be poor, 301 to 400 is said to be very poor, and 401 to 500 is said to be severe.

The Air Quality Early Warning System of Delhi has also provided a similar air quality forecast on the next few days.
According to the evidence provided by the Decision Support System, transport emissions continued to be the greatest source of air pollution in Delhi, on Saturday, covering 15.6 per cent of all the air pollution.
The weatherwise, the highest possible temperature in Delhi was measured at 33.5 degrees Celsius which is 0.9 notches above normal and the lowest possible temperature was recorded at 19.6 degrees Celsius which is 1.2 notches above normal.
IMD predicts a sunny Sunday, and the maximum temperature will probably reach 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum one is expected to be 19 degrees Celsius.
