Allu Arjun Arrested: On Friday, the High Court of Telangana granted interim bail for four weeks to actor Allu Arjun. He was arrested by the city police in connection with the death of a woman during a screening of Arjun's latest movie, Pushpa 2, which was held at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre last week. The HC order was delivered just after Allu was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days by a local court. He was sent to the jail at Chanchalguda in Hyderabad following the remand, amid tight security arrangements.
The actor was arrested from his house and then brought to the police station of Chikkadpally in police vehicle. This happened on December 13, with security arrangements being tight.

The city's police booked Allu Arjun and his bodyguards along with the management of the theater in terms of sections 105 and 118(1) of BNS at Chikkadpally police station due to a complaint filed by the family of the deceased person. The Telangana High Court had approached Allu Arjun on December 11 to quash the FIR registered against him regarding the incident concerning a woman seizing the death. He was arrested just a few days after his petition to quash the FIR against him.
Videos from the time Allu Arjun was arrested went viral on social media in no time. The actor claimed that it was a hurried arrest since his detention was objected to on his part. A heated exchange followed with the cops, with the actor saying, "We can go now, sir, I’m done with my coffee.” When the police told him they’d been honouring everything he asked for, he replied, “Sir, you haven’t honoured anything. I told you I wanted to change my clothes and send one person up with me. You’re not wrong to take me in, but it’s too much to come up to my bedroom. That’s not good.”
All the while, Allu Arjun's wife, Sneha Reddy, stood like a rock beside her husband. Pushpa actor, however, kissed her on the cheek before police officials whisked him away.
After that, he was taken to state-run Gandhi Hospital for medical tests. Allu Arjun will be produced in a local court later in the day, said a senior police official to mediapersons. The court after the initial hearing sent him to 14-day judicial custody. Soon after, police shifted him to the Chanchalguda Jail.

After the star Allu Arjun was sent to judicial recovery, his lawyer Niranjan Reddy moved the Telangana High Court for bail. The Public Prosecutor asked the judge at the HC to hear the bail plea on another day, saying, " A life has gone. A young lady has died. The complainant's son is still on the ventilator. It is not a fit case to grant any interim relief."
After listening to the arguments on both sides, the HC noted, "Saying that he (Allu Arjun) is an actor, he cannot be deprived of his right. As a citizen of this earth, he too has the right to life and liberty. We will grant interim bail for a certain period, and let them avail appropriate remedies."
For 4 weeks, the Telangana HC gave Allu Arjun temporary bail. He must give a bond of ₹50,000 in front of the jail superintendent. The Court ordered him to cooperate in the investigation. The matter is listed for hearing on January 21.
