Despite the loss, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh praised the five-time champions. Meanwhile, actress and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta celebrated her team’s victory with great joy.

Ranveer, who is an avid cricket follower, penned an uplifting message for the Mumbai Indians team. On his Instagram Stories, the actor shared a picture collage of the team. Still the most feared team in the league (blue heart emoji). Unbreakable spirit. Indefatigable Indians."

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli shared his thoughts on the tournament via X (formerly Twitter), wrote, "Iyer guiding Bumrah’s and Boult’s yorkers to the third man boundary… Exquisite… This man leads Delhi to a final… and is dropped… Leads Kolkata to a trophy… dropped… Leads a young Punjab to the finals after 11 years. He deserves this year’s trophy too…On the other hand, it is Kohli… who is performing year after year… compiling thousands of runs. The final frontier for him… He deserves it too. Whatever the result… it’s going to be a heartbreak…"

On the other hand, Preity Zinta took to X (formerly Twitter) with a video showing happy moments with Punjab Kings players. She cheered, hugged players, and posed for photos with her husband Gene Goodenough.
