PM Modi Slams Delhi Government: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (January 3, 2025) slammed the AAP as an "aapda" for Delhi, saying this "aapda" has taken the national capital in its grip in the past 10 years.

After launching a slew of infrastructure projects in the national capital, including in housing and education sectors, he hit out at the AAP-led city government and He said the situation in the national capital would worsen if its reign continued.

Giving a call for AAP's defeat, Modi raised the slogan, "'Aapda' ko nahi sahenge, badal kar rahenge (we will not tolerate 'aapda', we will remove it)." "This year will usher in a new politics of nation-building and people's welfare. Therefore, 'aapda' has to be removed and the BJP brought in," he said.

"The country knows it well that Modi never built a home for himself but has built more than 4 crore houses for the poor, 'Mai bhi koi sheeshmahal bana sakta tha (I could also have built a palace for myself),"

He told the people present at the event to pass on a message to the slum dwellers, "to ensure to tell them on my behalf that they will definitely get pucca houses, if not today, then tomorrow".

He slammed the AAP's "shamelessness" over the current situation of Yamuna. "What kind of aapda is this, they say that cleaning Yamuna won't get them votes - will you leave Yamuna like this if it doesn't get you votes?" the PM asked.

"Even after Independence, such works (New Education Policy) were not done, 'lekin aapke sevak ne kar diya'...," PM Modi said.

PM Modi also attacked AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and said, "In the last 10 years, Delhi has been surrounded by an 'Aapda'. By keeping Anna Hazare at the front, a few 'kattar beimaan' people have pushed Delhi towards 'Aapda'. 'AAP aapda bankar Delhi par toot padi hai'."

PM Modi continued his attack: "...Ye AAP, ye 'aapda', Delhi par aayi hai', and hence the people of Delhi have waged a war against 'aapda'. Voters of Delhi have made up their minds to free Delhi from this 'aapda'. Every voter of Delhi is saying, 'aapda ko nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge'."

Coming down strongly on the Atishi-led Delhi government, he said that the administration first indulges in corruption and then glorifies it. "First the theft and then the arrogance.this AAP has come to Delhi," he added.

"Our cities play a very important role in developing India. People from far-off places come here with their dreams and spend their lives honestly in fulfilling those dreams. Therefore, the BJP government at the Centre is engaged in providing quality of life to every family living in the cities," he added.

He reaffirmed that India will become one of the world's largest industrial hubs in 2025, solidifying its place in the global economy.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi gave house keys to qualified beneficiaries at Ashok Vihar's Swabhiman Apartments and officially opened 1,675 freshly built apartments for the JJ clusters' slum dwellers.
