Parvesh Verma Challenges Arvind Kejriwal Ahead of Delhi Polls: BJP's candidate for the New Delhi assembly constituency, Parvesh Verma, dared his AAP rival Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday by hoping the former Delhi chief minister would not "run away" from the seat.
The BJP today announced its first list of candidates for the forthcoming Delhi assembly election, in which it named Verma as the one's candidate from New Delhi against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.

"I want to take all the people of Delhi to see Sheesh Mahal. I am writing a letter to CM Atishi to open the doors of Sheesh Mahal because the people of Delhi want to see what happened to the tax they paid. I just hope Arvind Kejriwal doesn't run away from the New Delhi seat. I am setting up a camp soon where I will give employment letters to many people here in New Delhi," Verma told ANI.
Former BJP MP Parvesh Verma was a member of parliament for West Delhi from 2014 to 2024.
Atishi attacks BidhuriIn the list of 29 candidates featuring in the polls for the 70-member Delhi assembly, the BJP has fielded former MP Ramesh Bidhuri from Kalkaji against chief minister Atishi.

Chief minister made this comment about Bidhuri, that BJP did not find him fit enough to be given a ticket in Lok Sabha.
"Ramesh Bidhuri has been an MP from South Delhi for 10 years. His party did not think he was good enough to give him the MP ticket due to his work. If Ramesh Bidhuri's work is not trustworthy for his party, how can the people of the Kalkaji assembly constituency trust him?" she said.
Ramesh Bidhuri has been an MP from South Delhi twice.
The BJP has fielded Dushyant Gautam in Karol Bagh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa in Rajouri Garden, Kailash Gehlot in Bijwasan, and Arvinder Singh Lovely in Gandhi Nagar.
