Noida, Greater Noida Experience Ghostly Fog as Cold Wave Grips North India
It was cold enough to wake anybody up who lived in the Noida region when Saturday morning came crashing in, densely packed up in and covered with a savage cold wave.

Noida: It was cold enough to wake anybody up who lived in the Noida region when Saturday morning came crashing in, densely packed up in and covered with a savage cold wave over the night. Visibility diminished to an extent that made Saturday feel like an unreal-started, hazy weekend. Most of the residents posted part-socially the coolest pictures and videos of the fog-surrounded city as nature turned it from a terrifying place called Noida into a haunted picture.

Flooded posts on platforms like Twitter and Instagram make comments about classifying the city as if it were a scene from a horror movie.
Similar conditions faced by Delhi; flight, and train operations affected. The neighbouring capital of Delhi also shared a similar fate as the thick fog hurriedly brought down havoc on flight operations. The diversion between 12:15 am to 1:30 am saw 15 flights diverted from Delhi airport due to poor visibility, marking the second successive day of disruptions. It is from this feedback that the largest airline in India, IndiGo, suspended temporarily all arrivals and departures.
Other airlines, including Air India, have also issued advisories imploring flyers to check their flight status and allow a little extra time for travel. Ground reports indicate that many trains arriving at New Delhi railway station are seriously delayed, further compacting the plight induced by such freezing conditions.
Temperature dips, deterioration in air quality
As per the India Meteorological Department, the capital recorded a temperature of 10.2 degrees at 5:30 in the morning, which is slightly above Friday's 9.6 degrees. But the cold wave proved its continuing presence.
It had again kept the air quality in the same 'very poor' category, with an AQI going up to 385 at 6 am, compared to 348 the previous day. The health of city-dwellers fighting against the biting cold was once again threatened.

Bonfires and shelters: Surviving the cold
We have original descriptions for different subjects: full-blown night shelters in Delhi with the temperature dropping and fog adding to the chill. In order to throw an example, then there are the 235 additional pagoda tents constructed by the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) for the evening spaces under such areas as AIIMS, Lodhi Road, and under the Nizamuddin flyover.
Residents tried to stay warm around bonfires, and some spent the night seeking shelter from the cold.
