On Sunday, police said a man had died at a hotel in northeast Delhi, after partying with his friends. His relatives arouses foul play, claiming that he might have been drugged and murdered by the officials.

The person who was killed has been identified as Mohit Garg, who lived in Brahmpuri, police said, furthering into their statement that the cause of death is still to be ascertained.

A senior police officer claimed that a team was immediately sent to the hotel the same Saturday evening after being called to alert about an unconscious man. When they arrived on the scene, Garg lay unconscious in the room.

The mourning father added, “My son was healthy and did not have any problems. Police must investigate the matter properly.”

A family friend of the victim, Vikas Jain, said, “The body was totally blue when we checked him. We immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. We feel that he was murdered. Police must take strict action against the accused.”

The crime scene has been searched by the forensic team and the court case is underway.

The police are tracking down the partygoers in an attempt to interroate them in the bid to determine the chronology of events that culminated in the death, an official claimed.
