Hardik Pandya Personally Checks Cameraman’s Wound He Injured, Applies Ice Pack and Hugs Him — Watch
The player of the match was Hardik Pandya who gained hearts on and off the field with his amazing gesture.
Hardik Pandya made an impression with a blazing display with the bat to see India win the T20I series 3-1 against South Africa on Friday night. He not only made the second-fastest T20I half-century in India, made 25-ball 63, and formed a century stand with Tilak Varma, but also rightly won the player-of-the-match award, and his team scored a high fifth T20I in Ahmedabad.
Although the on-field performance of Pandya received all the publicity, the off-field gesture became viral as well. Even as he was hitting the bowlers of South Africa, one of the five sixes that Pandya struck made a cameraman hit on his arm by the ball.

The unfortunate cameraman lay in agony and was examined by one of the Indian team medical staff who had an ice pack on his arm.
Pandya himself later visited the cameraman. He took off the ice pack to examine his arm and put it back on, then departed after giving him a hug. The cameraman was not able to stop smiling.

Pandya later told of how he went there with the mind of attacking the bowlers even the first ball and he was very certain that his motive was to give rich dividends.
“Today I just felt it. I actually told my partner beforehand that I was going to step out first ball and try to hit it for six. I was confident it would come off. The situation suited my style; I backed myself and it worked. I took a calculated risk and thankfully it went my way," he stated in the post match presentation.
Pandya has not played competitive cricket since two months ago because of a quadriceps injury sustained by him during the successful Asia Cup run orchestrated by India in September. The 32-year-old has been in a fertile form since his return, smashing three half-centuries in five T20s.
