Delhi Court Rejects AAP Manish Sisodia Second Bail Plea: The Delhi Rouse Avenue Court dismissed Manish Sisodia's second bail application in the cases filed by the CBI and ED in connection with the now-scrapped Delhi liquor excise policy 2021-22 probe.
Kaveri Baweja, special judge for CBI and ED, denied the bail application on April 20, saying the stage was not right.

To campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, Sisodia also filed interim bail pleas in both cases.
According to the CBI and ED, irregularities were committed during the modification of the Delhi Excise Policy, undue favors were extended to license holders, and licenses were extended without the authority's approval.

Moreover, the probe agencies alleged that the beneficiaries diverted "illegal" gains to the accused officials and made false entries in their books of account to avoid detection.
On February 26, 2023, Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his alleged involvement in the "scam".
In March 2023, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the former deputy chief minister in a money laundering case stemming from the CBI FIR.
In February 2023, Sisodia resigned from the Delhi cabinet.
