Azerbaijan Claims Russia Vows Justice for Plane Crash That Killed 38
The general attorney of Azerbaijan announced Moscow's assurance to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the plane crash that has killed 38.

Russia Vows Justice for Plane Crash: The General Prosecutor of Azerbaijan on last Monday stated that Russia has given guarantees to identify and punish those guilty of crashing an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft on December 25, AFP reported the news agency.
Russia's investigative committee made a promise to the Azerbaijani nation on the lines of taking "intensive measures" against the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

The Azerbaijani president demanded accountability from the Russian government for an "accidental" shooting down of a plane by Russian defense missiles that crash-landed in Kazakhstan, which left 38 dead among the 67 passengers.
Russian authorities deny their missiles caused the plane to crash with accidently strikes. However, it was just during the airspace incident that Putin called on Aliyev for the accident.
Aliyev alleges ‘cover up’
On Sunday, Aliyev alleged that the Russian authorities were attempting to hide the cause of the crash by putting forth alternative theories to “cover up the issue”.
"We can say with complete clarity that the plane was shot down by Russia. We are not saying that it was done intentionally, but it was done,” he told Azerbaijani state television as per AFP.

According to inquiries being held by the Russian authorities on the crash, for the period it was flying, the area has been dense fogged and Ukrainian drones attack then triggered the Russian air defense systems.
While at the same time, Putin did not admit that the Russian defense systems might have, by accident, shot down the plane.
Aliyev demanded three things from Russia: an apology, an admission of guilt, and punishment for the criminals, as well as compensation for the injured passengers from the plane crash.
