7 Killed, Over a Dozen Injured in Multiple Road Accidents Across Uttar Pradesh
A rescue mission where cutters were used to rescue the trapped passengers involved police and fire services conducting a rescue mission in the late-night hours
Police quoted at least seven killed and over a dozen injured in separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh.
Bareilly Three killed and ten injured after a head-on collision of a van with a bus near the Barheypura village on the Bareilly to Bisalpur road under Bhuta police station area in the middle of the night at about 1:30 am on Saturday, they said. They all supposedly were homebound on Diwali.
The dead have been established as the driver called Rakesh (35), Gaurav (19) and Jitendra (20).
Anshika Verma, Bareilly Superintendent of Police (South) said.
Late night rescue operation involving police and fire workers was conducted where cutters were used to rescue the trapped occupants of the mangled van. Prelude investigations show that the accident was caused by speeding and trying to overtake. They said that four of the wounded are still in critical condition.

At Amethi, Station House Officer (SHO) Dhirendra Yadav said Deepak Kumar (20) and Devendra Kumar (22) were killed on the spot when they were hit by a speeding truck in Chaheti Nagar on Lucknow-Varanasi Highway at the Jagdishpur area on Saturday morning.
Friday night, two individuals were murdered, and four others were taken to hospital severely wounded in separate motorcycle bounces in Etah.
The first one was at a village called Bahgo, in Jaithra area, where two fast moving motor cycles came straight into a clash killing a 70-year-old Shyamveer, injuring his grandson Himanshu and two others.
In the second one, Satyam (16) lost his life when his bikes crashed with another in his attempt to go to a petrol pump late in the night. In both incidences, cases are registered in the police and the bodies are sent to the postmortem.
