Virat Kohli to Leave India: Ex-Coach Confirms London Move with Anushka Sharma and Kids
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, are ready to move with their two children Vamika and Akaay to reside in London.

Virat Kohli to Leave India: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, are ready to move with their two children Vamika and Akaay to reside in London. The confirmation came from Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who gave some insight on the decision by the family and their future endeavors.
"Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket," Sharma told Dainik Jagran.
They own some other property already in London, but where they want to stay is with their youngest child, Akaay, born in London on 15 February 2024, which is said to make the link with the city a little bit stronger.

A Year of Family and Cricket
So far, Kohli's family has spent a considerable amount of time in London this year. After Akaay's birth, Virat returned to India to take part in the first T20 World Cup won by his national team this June. He was again in action during the ODI series against Sri Lanka in July, but soon returned to London and was there up to August.
Kohli, back to India, was preparing for this home cricket season, which consisted of two Tests against Bangladesh and three against New Zealand. The team faced a complete washout against New Zealand at 0-3, but Kohli remained in India to enjoy his birthday celebrations with friends and family.
Interestingly, Kohli now finds himself in Australia, heading there for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and the next major event on Kohli's calendar will be the Champions Trophy. The dates for this event are still being finalized, but already rumors of another trip to London just before the IPL 2025 are flying about.
Coach Clears the Air on Retirement Rumours
With the retirement announcement by Ravichandran Ashwin, Kohli buzz about his future has intensified. But Rajkumar Sharma would have none of it because according to him, Kohli is as fit as a horse and devoted to the game.
"Virat is still very fit and not too old to retire. I believe that Virat will play cricket for five more years. Virat will also be seen playing in the 2027 World Cup," Sharma told Dainik Bhaskar.
Sharma, however, reiterates his confidence in Kohli's form, notwithstanding the recent Australian struggles, which saw him amassing just 21 runs from his last three innings after a century scored in the first Test. "This is a player who has always enjoyed his game. When a player enjoys his game, he gives his best. Virat's form is not a matter of concern. This player knows how to bat in difficult situations and make the team win," Sharma added.

Changes in the Career of Anushka Sharma:
Anushka Sharma has further made career adjustments to focus more on the family. She has not done any project of major scale after completing the shooting of the Jhulan Goswami biopic. The movie is Chakda Xpress, which is soon to be released on Netflix. Her last significant role can be found in Zero (2018), although she did make a cameo appearance in the Karnesh Sharma production Qala (2022).
Anushka co-founded the production house Clean Slate Filmz but withdrew from active participation because she wished to strike a balance between her personal and professional commitments. London has been her home for the past few months in further support of the family's relocation plans.
Together for Seven Years
Anushka and Virat celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on the 11th of December, 2024. The two were recently spotted in Brisbane, Australia during Kohli's cricket tour. One particular candid image that exploded on social media showed how close they were to each other despite a busy year.
As Kohli continues his cricketing journey-the long run towards the 2027 World Cup-the family is gearing up for "life in a new destination." Work-life balance marks this relocation for what is in all probability the most celebrated couple of recent times.
