UP Couple Dies in Road Accident After Distributing Son’s Wedding Invitations

Couple was returning home on a motorcycle after distributing their son's wedding cards when they died in an accident in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, police said on Monday.

The incident happened on late Sunday when Khub Singh, 62, and his wife Lali Devi, 56, had distributed their wedding invitation among relatives for their son's wedding on June 9, a police officer said.

While they were returning home after completing the relative rounds, an unidentified vehicle collided with theirs on Nagina-Dhampur road (SH-49), and they were taken to a community health centre, where doctors declared them brought dead, Nagina Station House Officer Tejpal Singh said.

The bodies were sent for post mortem, he said.
