Kashmiri Pandit govt employees & their families protest against killing of Chadoora Tehsil Office employee Rahul Bhat

Budgam: The era of target killing that took place in the 90s in Jammu and Kashmir seemed to have returned again. Terrorists have once again started targeting Kashmiri Pandits along with jawans. On Friday morning, terrorists entered the house and shot at the SPO in Pulwama. He died in the hospital. This is the second incident of murder in Kashmir within 24 hours. Earlier on Thursday evening, Rahul Bhatt was murdered.

In Budgam, terrorists entered the office of Chadoora Tehsildar office clerk Rahul Bhatt and shot him. The people present on the spot admitted him to the hospital, where he died. Today on Friday, terrorists entered the house of SPO Riyaz Ahmed Thokar in Gudura, Pulwama, and opened fire on him. He died in the hospital.

Rahul Bhatt was cremated at Bantalab on Friday morning. During this, a large number of people including the ADGP of Jammu Mukesh Singh, Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, and Deputy Commissioner Avani Lavasa were present. At the same time, people opposed the BJP's state president Ravindra Raina, who reached the spot.

The wife of the Chaddora Tehsil Employee Rahut Bhatt said, "He used to say everyone behaves nicely with him and nobody can harm him. Yet nobody protected him, they (terrorists) must've asked someone about him, otherwise, how would they've known."
