Trump Was Directly Involved in India-Pakistan Conflict Resolution: Marco Rubio Hails ‘President of Peace’
This has been refuted by India saying that the ceasefire did not come as a result of mediation by the US but as a result of talk between the Indian and Pakistani militaries.

Trump Was Directly Involved in India-Pakistan Conflict Resolution: Claimed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the United States became directly involved when India and Pakistan were engaged in a military stand-off earlier this year. He repeated the previous argument by America that US President Donald Trump has halted the war between the South Asian countries which are nuclear powers.
Rubio, who spoke during an interview with EWTN on Thursday, on his show, The World Over, clarified the aforementioned by saying that Trump is now a proponent of peace, and wants to be the president of peace.
"And so, we saw when India and Pakistan went to war, we got involved directly, and the president was able to deliver on that peace," Rubio said.

The US leader has enumerated some of the conflicts that President Trump has supposedly settled and added that Americans were proud of such initiatives.
"Cambodia and Thailand more recently; Azerbaijan and Armenia, hopefully...DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo)-Rwanda - a 30-year war, 7 million people killed - we were able to bring them here to sign it," Rubio said.
He added the US is "looking for more - obviously, the big one being in Ukraine and Russia".
India Does not Buy Trump claims
On May 10, Trump has made it several times that he helped calm the waters in a conflict between India and Pakistan when he told the two neighbours who have been feuding, that America will do a lot of business with them when they end the war.
India has refuted the allegations holding that the ceasefire was realized via negotiations between the Indian and Pakistani armies and not through the US mediation
In June Rajnath Singh, India Defence Minister told the lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, that it was "completely incorrect and baseless to say that the military action was stopped because of pressure".
"India halted its operation because all the political and military objectives studied before and during the conflict had been fully achieved," he said.
He further stated that the move was made following a solicitation on the part of the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan who begged in relief.

Is Trump Mad At India?
A South Asia analyst has described that Trump singled out India regarding their trade with Russia by leveling steep penalties since New Delhi would not allow him to have credit in the ceasefire. Michael Kugelman, head of the US-based Wilson Center South Asia Institute, told the news agency ANI following Trump doubling the tariffs on all Indian exports of 25 per cent to take the total tariff burden to 50 per cent.
China has not come to the fore and denied the president Trump the credit of his own role in ceasefire. China did not experience its leader engage Trump in an extended phone discussion and basically telling him what is right and what is wrong. That is what took place with India," he explained.
New Delhi has stuck to its claim that it purchases Russian oil in order to provide energy security to its population and has referred the US move as unfair, unjustified and unreasonable. The Ministry of External Affairs added that it was most unfortunate that it was India that the US has imposed extra tariffs on over activities that are being undertaken by many others such as China.
