Class 7 Student in Bengaluru Dies by Suicide: The teenager was a Class 7 student who took his life in Bengaluru; early observations showed that there was a possible connection to the popular Japanese web series, Death Note.

It occurred at the CK Acchukattu region during the intervening night of August 3 and then the police had conducted a probe on the specifics of his death.

Investigation showed that the minor was a big fan of the show; he sketched a character of the show in his room.

The specific has drawn investigators to the possibility that he might have been influenced to act by the series.

The parents of the minor have noted that he was experiencing no known difficulties either at school or home and the pure motives behind his drastic action are not still clear.

The police are still investigating the issue and have confiscated the mobile phone of the boy in order to conduct forensic examination.

To the uninitiated, Death Note is about a high schooler who finds a book given to a non-human being, the so called Death Note, which gives its owner certain supernatural powers to kill someone by simply writing his or her name on the book.

The background of the show revolves around the subsequent actions of the student who uses the Death Note to plan a mass kill of certain people in the world which he considers as immoral and to establish a society free of crime and the subsequent attempts made by the Japanese police action-force to arrest him.

In another case, a 10 year old boy was found hanging in his house in Ambika Vihar Colony, in Delhi on August 3.

As told by the Delhi Police, the child was addicted to mobile game playing.

After analyzing the mobile that was retrieved at the location, it became evident that the child had been using it through the day for about 10-11 hours. He spent seven hours playing a game as well as spending around four hours on YouTube.

The father of the child told the police that the child did not attend school on the day the incident happened namely July 31 because it was heavily raining.
