This Election Is About Writing A New Chapter In Bihar’s History’: PM Modi At Booth Sammelan

This Election Is About Writing A New Chapter In Bihar’s History’: The prime minister Narendra Modi said that the forthcoming election is all about creating a new chapter in the history of the state as he slammed the RJD on the issue, accusing it of spreading the jungle raj politics that the people of Bihar will never forget.

Speaking to BJP workers at a booth sammelan in Bihar, which is contested in a poll on Thursday, Modi said that the young generation will be the most important part of this new chapter. He claimed to be sure that the people will elect the doubled engine government of NDA once again.

“This election is about writing a new chapter in the history of Bihar, youth will play a key role," Modi said during the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ programme, asking BJP workers to ensure the elderly educate the youth about the atrocities during ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar. “People will not forget for another 100 years the ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar, no matter how much the opposition tries to hide their misdeeds."

Modi alleged that Naxal terror contributed significantly to the destruction of Bihar and this was exploited by the previous government of RJD. He claimed that they are not interested in the young age of Bihar and over decades the youths of the state were victims of Naxal terror.

“But, these people prioritised their (RJD) own self-interest over you. Maoists would not allow the opening of schools, colleges, hospitals, or anything else, and they would destroy established institutions with bombs. They would not allow industries to enter. Therefore, during their (RJD) rule, development was completely ruined. I admit that they (RJD) have ruined the future of two generations of Bihar," he said. “Those who call themselves Mahagathbandhan, the people of Bihar call them a ‘lathbandhan’. They only know how to wield lathis and fight. For them, their own self-interest is above all."

He claimed that the NDA had strived to get Bihar out of the jungle raj darkness and in the new light of development. The state, he said, is no longer wilting under jungle raj, but is sweeping forward at rapid pace with the future of the promise of jan vishwas.

The Prime Minister indicated that NDA was determined to make real the dreams and the aspirations of the youth of Bihar and, in this process, the government was actively interacting with them. He was requesting the young people to go round the homes and encourage voters to turn out.

He has congratulated the entire BJP workers on the event of Bhai Dooj and the fast approaching festival of Chhath Puja.
