Sri Lanka Crisis: Sri Lanka has a foreign debt of $ 56 billion
There are also many risk factors involved in this. It is also true that India wants Sri Lanka to recover from this situation as soon as possible.
The financial condition of Sri Lanka has become very bad. Incidents of violence and arson are happening continuously in the country. The protesters who took to the streets against the deteriorating condition of the country due to the government and its wrong policies had burnt down the PM's house including many leaders. After this, orders have been given to shoot the protesters in Sri Lanka.
There is currently no way for Sri Lanka to come out of this situation. Sri Lanka has an external debt of 56 billion dollars. Ten percent of its debt is from China alone. For him, this amount is so big that he does not see any way to get it off. Sri Lanka has to pay two billion dollars only in the form of interest on this loan.
The biggest problem with India is that even India alone cannot repay the debt Sri Lanka has to pay.
This is because the plight of Sri Lanka can prove to be harmful for India. It is not in our interest even as India's neighboring country, that this kind of plight, which may later give rise to terrible anarchy and civil war, should continue for a long time.
