Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to Reunite for Cocktail 2, Report Reveals

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon Reunite: Thirteen years after the original Cocktail, Cocktail 2 is gearing up to continue the love triangle theme. Sources close to the development confirm that Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have loved the script and are excited to reunite for the film.

“After the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are coming together once more. Producer Dinesh Vijan and director Homi Adajania are both big fans of romantic comedies, and they feel the script of Cocktail 2 is the perfect vehicle to bring the genre back in style,”

The film’s plot will continue the theme of friendship at the heart of a light-hearted romantic comedy.

Cocktail was released in 2012 and it starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Diana Penty in leading roles. The film turned out to be a box office success with fans loving the twisted storyline between best friends.

Cocktail by Dinesh Vijan also proved to be a game changer in Deepika Padukone's career. She established herself as a diva with tremendous talent in this film. Now, the reports of Cocktail 2 being in the making are doing the rounds on the web.

While Dinesh Vijan previously collaborated with Imtiaz Ali on the first Cocktail, for the sequel, he has teamed up with Luv Ranjan, who is known for his successful work in romantic comedies.

Ranjan has written the script for Cocktail 2 to ensure that it is filled with humour, light-hearted moments, and a strong emotional foundation.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Deva opposite Pooja Hegde. The actor has also signed a project with Vishal Bharadwaj.

On the other hand, Kriti Sanon was last seen in her home production film Do Patti.
