Setback for NDA in Bihar as LJP (RV) Candidate’s Nomination Rejected: Report
Four of the nominations including that of Seema Singh were not accepted because of some technical flaws detected in the processes
Setback for NDA in Bihar as LJP (RV) Candidate’s Nomination Rejected: The nomination of Seema Singh, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate of Madhaura has been disqualified in a big blow to the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) just in time before the Bihar Assembly elections.
The returning officer cancelled her nomination citing discrepancies in her documents as mentioned in a report by Live Hindustan. She is one of the major candidates of Chirag Paswan party.

It was also established that out of the four nominations, one of them that of Seema Singh was rejected on the basis of technical errors detected during scrutiny.
The papers of the independent candidates Altaf Alam Raju and Vishal Kumar along with those of BSP candidate Aditya Kumar were also rejected along with Singh, the papers, the publication added further.
It is expected to have a spill over effect on the Madhaura constituency where Seema Singh, a famous Bhojpuri actress-turned-politician was looking like a formidable NDA candidate.
Who is Seema Singh?
Seema Singh is a famous Bhojpuri movie actress who left LJP (RV) and got into the monastery. In her nomination, she provided information of her educational qualifications and assets in detail, something that has drawn attention.Within the context of filing an affidavit, she stated that her educational background was that she had completed ninth grade, further fueling the mystery of the emergence of this political candidate.
The Bihar assembly elections: It is a close call
The Bihar elections 2025 will be polled in November 6 and 11. The announcements shall be made on November 14
In the seat-sharing system in the NDA, the BJP and JD(U) will be fighting over 101 seats each, and the Lok Janshakti Party (led by Ram Vilas) will be fighting over 29 seats. The Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will be competing six seats each.
The primary opposition will be between the NDA, which is headed by the BJP and Janata Dal (United) and the INDIA alliance, headed by Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The INDIA alliance is looking forward to oust Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who heads the NDA in the state.
