Saba Azad on Sensationalism: ‘Celebs Have No Escape from Out-of-Context Questions’
Saba Azad elaborates to HT regarding her relationship with the media and how she counters sensational questions not regarding her work.

Saba Azad on Sensationalism: Saba Azad has become a rather familiar term in the media. Having sustained her fair share of media attention for 15 years as an actor, of late this has only amplified with bigger assignments coming her way and a bigger spotlight cast across her personal life since she'd become publicly linked to Hrithik Roshan.

Saba Azad on dealing with sensational journalism
While playing a journalist in Crime Beat, the actor spoke with HT regarding her equation with the media and often, while promoting a film, countering sensational questions that have nothing to do with the movie or her work. "They are trying to sell their story, but I am also doing my job and leading my life. The best way to do that is by saying 'next question'," says Saba.
"There is no doubt that it is here to stay, even if it is harmful," says the actor. "The excerpt from something before and after will never be shared, so you have no context. There is no escaping it, honestly," she adds.

Saqib Saleem says media needs to be responsible
Saqib Saleem, her co-star in Crime Beat, agrees and goes on to say that the media should respect the actors and speak more responsibly regarding them. "Just because actors are coming to talk to you doesn't give you the right to dig out some part of their life and put it up for public consumption. In the world we live in, nobody believes in setting the context. A 15-second Reel is cut that has a viral moment. It will blow out of proportion," he says.
