Police then allege that Revathi's death and serious injury to her son happened as a result of the "teeming action" that he carried out. Officials also claimed that his team lacked compliance with required precautionary preventive measures even after receiving prior information about the large number of people and possible danger.
The Nampally court later handed down a 14-day judicial custody, beginning December 13, when the actor was arrested. He left prison the next day after securing interim bail from the Telangana High Court upon putting up a bond of ₹50,000. Upon a complaint made by the victim's family, Telangana Police had filed a case against the actor and his security team as well as the theatre management.
