Maharashtra CM Swearing-In Ceremony: Besides PM Narendra Modi, 1000 beneficiaries of Maharashtra’s Ladki Bahin scheme will be present at the swearing in of the new government on Thursday.
Farmers, Sadhus and Saints will also be present like in the new Parliament building. Ladki Bahin was one of the major factors of Mahayuti’s landslide victory in 2024 assembly elections.
Devendra Fadnavis of BJP will be sworn in as CM, Eknath Shinde as his deputy and Ajit Pawar as the 2nd deputy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, CMs and deputies of NDA states will also be present.

At Azad Maidan in south Mumbai. Fadnavis was elected as Maharashtra BJP legislature party leader today.

The ceremony will also see the presence of several Chief Ministers and their deputies from across the country, including:

- Himanta Biswa Sharma – Chief Minister, Assam
- Yogi Adityanath – Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh

- Mohan Yadav – Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh
- Pushkar Singh Dhami – Chief Minister, Uttarakhand
- Bhajanlal Sharma – Chief Minister, Rajasthan

According to officials, special arrangements have been made to accommodate 40,000 BJP supporters and a separate seating arrangement made for 2,000 VVIPs, including leaders from various religions.
The ceremony will be a major showcase of the BJP’s dominance in Maharashtra, where its alliance secured 235 of the 288 assembly seats. Devendra Fadnavis, a two-time former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, is widely expected to be named the next Chief Minister, with Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani serving as central observers for the state legislature party leader election.
