Cable Theft Halts Delhi Metro Blue Line: This caused services on the Blue Line of the Delhi metro to be disrupted early morning today following Wednesday night's cable theft. An official confirmation about delays across the Moti Nagar-Kirti Nagar stretch was issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) through an X post.
“There is a delay in services on the Blue Line due to a cable theft between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar. The inconvenience is regretted," the DMRC tweeted.
The Metro further clarified that the problem would be solved only after 11 pm today and advised its users to plan their journey keeping in mind that delays may be caused.

“The cable theft issue on the Blue Line between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar will be rectified only after the end of operational hours in the night. Since the trains will operate on restricted speed on the affected section during the day, there would be some delay in services," it stated.
“Passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly as the journey shall take some additional time," the DMRC’s tweet read.
As per updates from several commuters on social media today morning, the Blue Line was said to suffer delays.
“Trains in Blue line are running/taking more than scheduled time right now. In office time this is very unfortunate to get delayed for destination," (sic) an X user wrote.

“Issue with Delhi Metro at Uttam Nagar East metro station from last 20 minutes. People are stuck in metro due to some technical issue with Metro Train," (sic), another user wrote.
“The Delhi Metro has been stopped at yamuna Bank station for the past 30 minutes," (sic), another metro commuter wrote on X.
One of the commuters also demanded the Delhi Metro to recover his loss, and wrote, “I was late by 30 minutes today because of Delhi Metro. Due to which both my money and time were lost. I paid the full amount for my tickets. Then what is your liability? Who will discover my loss?" (sic).
