Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal will announce the name of the party's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections on Friday based on the opinion of the people of the state. The party officials have given this information on Thursday.
On October 29, Kejriwal had urged people to contact the party through SMS, WhatsApp, voice mail and e-mail to give their views on who should be the CM candidate from the party in the state which is currently governed by the Indian people.
Arvind Kejriwal said that people can express their views till the evening of November 3 and based on their opinion, the name of the party's chief minister's post will be announced the next day.Party sources said that its state unit president Gopal Italia, national general secretary Isudan Gadhvi and general secretary Manoj Soratihya are in the race for the top post from AAP. The party said in a statement that Kejriwal is scheduled to hold a press conference in Ahmedabad on Friday to announce the results.
