Free Dosa, Beer, and Taxi Ride Offers for Bengaluru Voters on Voting Day.

Free Offers for Bengaluru Voters on Voting Day: There are over 1 crore eligible voters in Bengaluru, and hotels, pubs, and taxi aggregators are enticing them with discounts, freebies, and complimentary rides. This is not the first time such initiatives have been taken.

The Nisarga Grand Hotel on Nrupatunga Road is serving butter dosas, ghee rice, and beverages on election day.

Voters visiting Deck of Brews on April 27 and 28 will receive a free mug of beer and discounts.

Prafulla Raya expressed her desire to reward voters for their contributions to the nation's development.

SOCIAL, another pub chain, is distributing voting bills. Guests who return these bills and show their inked fingers will receive a 20% discount on their meal for a week following voting day.

Rapido, the taxi aggregator, is offering complimentary rides to differently-abled and senior citizen voters in Bengaluru, ensuring equitable access to the voting booth.

As Rapido's Co-founder Pavan Guntupalli explained, "We are undertaking this initiative in order to ensure that every voter in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mangaluru can vote successfully. Specifically, we aim to ensure that voters with disabilities and seniors have equal access to exercise their democratic rights."

Bangalore South constituency registered the lowest voting percentage in Karnataka state during the last general election in 2019.

Bangalore Central (54.3%) and Bangalore North (54.7%) also had low turnouts, compared with 68% for the state as a whole.

After the court order on Wednesday, most companies announced offers to encourage residents to vote.

The popular amusement park Wonderla is offering discounted tickets for voters, and Deck of Brews is giving away free beer to its first 50 customers who vote.

Taxi aggregator Rapido, meanwhile, is offering free rides to people with disabilities and elderly voters within 30km (18 miles) of polling stations.

Also, to accommodate voters participating in the election, the Bengaluru Metro will extend its service on April 26. The last trains from all terminal stations and the Majestic interchange will depart later than usual.
