Fire Breaks Out in Bushes Near Crematorium in Delhi's Geeta Colony
Blackened ashes were also seen on large areas of the ground with the area of the fire being seen rising by thick smoke as shown in a video.
On Sunday, a fire occurred in the bushes adjacent to a crematorium in Geeta Colony, Delhi. There have been no reported casualties of the incident and the cause of the fire remains to be identified.
There was observed to be thick smoke in the area and there were black ashes in vast areas of the ground as seen in one of the videos shared by news agency PTI at the location.

The fire seemed to have spread very fast. There was a clear evidence of burnt branches and smouldering debris, which shows that the fire had hit a section of the area.
Delhi pollution
The levels of air pollution in Delhi were brought to the point of the severe, with the terrible smog, cold bites, and thick layers of fog covering much of northern India.
The air quality index (AQI) in the city of Delhi increased dramatically during the day reaching 377 at 5 pm which is above the nightly severe level. The AQI improved marginally by 6.30 am on Sunday and still stood at 396, barely short of severe within the Air Quality Early Warning System of the ministry of earth sciences on Delhi.
The forecast provided by the system was that of continuously dangerous conditions.

The future of the next six days as per the bulletin is concerning, where the quality of the air is likely to be in the category of the Very Poor and Severe.
There are a number of zones in Delhi that register dangerous air.
The Sameer app by the Central pollution control board, indicated that there were several monitoring stations in the capital reporting extremely poor air quality in the early morning hours.
Chandni Chowk (455) in Wazirpur (449) in Rohini (438) in Jahangirpuri (436) and in Mundka (436) were among the most affected and were firmly under the severe category as of 6:05 am.
