Emotional Rekha Hugs Agastya Nanda at RK Film Festival: The Kapoor family organized an extravagant function to mark Raj Kapoor's centenary and to raise the curtain on a singular movie festival. On the evening of December 13, the entire Kapoor family was joined by celebrities, including the world-renowned Rekha, for a night to remember. A video clip from the event has since gone viral on the internet, containing a heartwarming scene of Rekha embracing Amitabh Bachachan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, very intimately.

Rekha made a grand entrance on the red carpet, literally wrapped in a brilliant golden saree, before a life-size poster of Raj Kapoor. In a gesture of utmost grace, she folded her hands in a namaste, reached up reverently to lay her fingers on the poster, and bent her head in a moment of deep respect. So, her touching tribute, followed up by some of her best poises before the cameras, left quite a mark on anyone in attendance.
However, one video that has been trending on Instagram from the event is that of Rekha sharing a sweet hug with Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan. Rekha then strokes his cheek softly in a very endearing gesture after the hug, whereupon Agastya bids her a heartfelt namaste.
Rekha's warm hug and subsequent meeting with Agastya captured the attention of everyone present. Everyone involved in this spectacle was astonished by this lovely moment, with talks buzzing everywhere on the internet regarding the warmth. The special happened to add further excitement to the already memorable event for attendees and those engaged with it.

Agastya, it should be noted, has a direct relationship with the Kapoor clan, since his paternal grandmother, Ritu Nanda, happened to be a daughter of the legendary Raj Kapoor. The reason for this relationship is that Shweta Bachchan Nanda, daughter of Amitabh Bachchan, is married to Nikhil Nanda, son of Ritu Nanda. Although, the others of the Bachchan family would have missed the do.
The great luminaries from the Kapoor family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karishma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Alia Bhatt, were all present at the event which paid tribute to the legacy of Raj Kapoor. Other celebrities present at this star-studded event included Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza, Kartik Aaryan, Rajkumar Hirani, Mahesh Bhatt, Sharman Joshi, and many others.
Special screenings of all Raj Kapoor's great films arranged by RK Films and the Film Heritage Foundation along with the National Film Archive of India (NFDC ) are taking place. The title- Raj Kapoor 100: Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman, to be showcased from December 13 to 15 in PVR-Inox and Cinepolis theatres across 40 cities and 135 locations in India.
