Soldiers’ Families Reflect on Sacrifice and Service

Doda Attack: On Monday, reports claimed that five army personnel were severely injured among which four soldiers including an army officer died from those severe injuries.

The encounter took place when a security officer along with a J&K police executed a search operation after getting reports of terrorists' whereabouts in the Doda forest area in Jammu and Kashmir.

However, the deaths of four military personnel have brought suffering to their families and also disappointed many political leaders as they blame the central government for their deaths.

Congress member Rahul Gandhi claimed that the government should be held fully responsible for the continuous security problems in Jammu and Kashmir and take strict actons against the terrorists.

On Tuesday, in a tweet shared by Rahul Gandhi on his official X handle, he wrote, “Today, our soldiers were martyred in another terrorist encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. I pay my humble tribute to the martyrs and express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”

He added, " Such horrific incidents happening one after the other is extremely sad and worrying. These continuous terrorist attacks are revealing the poor condition of Jammu and Kashmir.”

He also said that our Indian soldiers and their families are suffering because of the BJP's bad policies.

He further said, “It is the demand of every patriotic Indian that the government should take full responsibility for the repeated security lapses and take strict action against the culprits who harm the country and the soldiers. In this hour of grief, the entire country stands united against terrorism.”

Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge took to Twitter and wrote, “Deeply distressed by the martydom of 4 brave Army soldiers, including an officer, in a terror encounter in Jammu & Kashmir’s Doda. Our heart goes out to the families of our bravehearts, who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of Bharat Mata. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured, and we him a speedy and complete recovery.”

He further said, “No words of strong and unequivocal condemnation will suffice for these acts of violence being perpetrated by cowardly terrorists. The spate of terror attacks that has gripped Jammu and Kashmir in the past 36 days, needs careful recalibration in our security strategy.”

Congress president then directed to PM Modi said that the Modi government is behaving like nothing is different, for him everything is still "business as usual” and the government must know that “increasingly Jammu region” is suffering from these attacks.

He also added, “We cannot endanger our National Security by indulging in false bravado, fake narratives and high-decibel whitewashing. As a nation, we have to collectively fight the scrouge of cross-border terrorism. The Indian National Congress stands strongly with our valiant Armed Forces.”

The general secretary of the Congress Party, Jairam Ramesh also blaming PM Modi said that in the last 78 days, there have been 11 terrorist strikes in Jammu alone.

He also added, “This is a wholly new development. While we must demonstrate an effective collective response cutting across political parties, the question must also be asked: what happened to all those grand claims made by the self-anointed non-biological PM and the self-styled Chanakya?”

However, this attack was marked as the third major terrorist attack on security personnel. The last time the terrorists attacked was in Kathura which killed 5 soldiers and injured many.
