AQI Drops to ‘Poor’: AQI in Delhi has improved slightly since Sunday and is now below 300. The city is in the ‘poor’ category.
As of this morning at 7:30 am, none of Delhi's 38 monitoring stations were classified as "severe." The SAMEER app indicates that the AQI at Lodhi Road is "satisfactory."

AQI finally in green: There’s finally some green in Delhi, Lodhi Road (IITM) is 95, ‘satisfactory’ according to CPCB. Hazy in most of Delhi and NCR.

Delhi AQI today: 24-hour average AQI till 7:30 am today is 279, ‘poor’. Much better than yesterday morning when it was hazardous, 450+ for the first time this season.
Best and worst AQI: Shadipur was the most polluted with AQI 347 (very poor) and Lodhi Road (IITM) was the least polluted with AQI 95. AQI at RK Puram (275), Sirifort (267), Sri Aurobindo Marg (227), ITO (234) and IGI Airport (260) was in the orange zone (poor).
AQI categories: 0-50 good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor, 401-450 severe, 451 severe+. CPCB data shows PM2.5 as the primary pollutant with 138 at 3 pm.

GRAP restrictions: AQI had worsened yesterday and was 495, the highest this season. So GRAP Stage 4 was implemented across the city.

Delhi’s Winter Action Plan 2024
It has 21 points to tackle air pollution during winter. It includes drone monitoring of 13 pollution hotspots, intensified anti-dust campaigns, deployment of water sprinklers and smog guns and stricter vehicular and industrial pollution controls.
Toxic foam in Yamuna River
Amid of an air crisis, drone footage shows toxic foam in the Yamuna River near Kalindi Kunj. Pollution levels in the river are still very high and adding to the city’s environmental woes.
Winter exacerbates pollution levels in the city
The onset of winter has exacerbated pollution levels, leading to increased complaints from residents about breathing difficulties, fevers, and other health issues. Citizens have called for long-term solutions to address the persistent pollution crisis.
