Delhi News: AQI Turns ‘Poor’, First-Stage Restrictions Under GRAP Activated
On Tuesday, the Delhi AQI had violated the category of poor with the reading standing at 201 at 10:30 am.
Delhi News: Air pollution in Delhi is escalating once again and stage one of the curbs specified by the GRAP has gone into effect. The increase in the pollution is after the southwest monsoon withdrawal and before the winter season sets in.
The Air Quality Early Warning System registered the Delhi AQI as having violated the poor category on Tuesday with the reading of 201 at 10:30 am. It was seen that various localities of Delhi still fell within the poor category of air quality. The worst was Anand Vihar where the AQI had reached 365 (very poor).
In the meantime, Sharjeel Imam, who is in jail in connection with the case of the 2020 Delhi riots of the larger conspiracy, has filed an interim Bailey petition in a city court, seeking interim bail to challenge the impending elections in Bihar assembly.
The elections will be challenged by the student activist whose jail term exceeds five years as an independent candidate of Bahadurganj constituency in the Kishanganj district.

IRCTC scam case: The court of Delhi Monday indicted charges of corruption, criminal conspiracy and cheating against RJD president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad in regard to the alleged IRCTC scam that is under investigation by the CBI.
Conspiracy and cheating have also been alleged against his wife Rabri Devi and his son Tejashwi Yadav.
