Colorado Attacker Shouts ‘End Zionists’, Uses Molotov Cocktails and Flamethrower: The attacker, identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman (45), allegedly shouted “End Zionists,” “Palestine is free,” and “They are killers” before throwing Molotov cocktails and using a makeshift flamethrower on the crowd.
At least six people were injured after the attack, which took place near 13th and Pearl Street during a weekly "Run for Their Lives" walk.
According to the FBI Denver office, the incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism. FBI Special Agent Mark Michalek stated, “It is clear this was a targeted act of violence.
No charges were immediately announced, but officials said they expect to hold Soliman "fully accountable". The 45-year-old suspect himself was also reportedly injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
"As a result of these preliminary facts, it is clear that this is a targeted act of violence and the FBI is investigating this as an act of terrorism," Michalek said.
Soliman was taken into custody without incident and transferred to a hospital where he was examined, police said.
FBI Director Kash Patel said officials were investigating the incident as a "targeted terror attack." The FBI believes the attack was "ideologically motivated violence," according to "early information, the evidence and witness accounts," Deputy Director Dan Bongino added.

An eyewitness said that one woman was so badly burned that her hair caught fire. Another eyewitness told CNN she saw people strip and roll on the ground to put the fire out.
The terror suspect, an Egyptian national, had overstayed his visa and was in the country illegally, Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement sources told Fox News.
Soliman allegedly landed in the US at Los Angeles International Airport on Aug. 27, 2022 with an authorized stay through Feb. 26, 2023, but stayed in the country. After filing a claim, he was cleared for work authorization by US Citizenship and Immigration Services on March 29, 2023, which expired this March, according to the outlet.
“The Biden Admin granted the alien a visa and then, when he illegally overstayed, they gave him a work permit,” White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller wrote on X. “Immigration security is national security. No more hostile migration. Keep them out and send them back.”
Redfearn said calls started flooding 911 shortly after the attack at 1:26 p.m. local time.
“The initial callers indicated that there was a man with a weapon and that people were being set on fire,” Redfearn said at a press conference.
“We were on scene very quickly. When we arrived, we encountered multiple victims who were injured with injuries consistent with burns and other injuries.”
The suspect was “pointed out” by the crowd and taken into custody without incident and brought to the hospital with minor injuries, Redfearn said.
The FBI will be investigating the situation as an act of terrorism, Michalek confirmed.

“As a result of these preliminary facts, it is clear that this is a targeted act of violence and the FBI is investigating this as an act of terrorism,” he said.
“Sadly, attacks like this are becoming too common across the country. This is an example of how perpetrators of violence continue to threaten communities across our nation,” Michalek added.
Soliman, who was also injured during the attack, is currently hospitalized. Authorities have yet to formally announce charges but emphasized that they intend to “hold him fully accountable.”
In purported video footage, a shirtless man — believed to be the attacker — can be seen pacing as flames spread across the grass in front of him. Eyewitnesses reported panic as the attacker ignited explosives among peaceful demonstrators.
Local law enforcement had initially been cautious about assigning motive but later confirmed that the suspect’s anti-Zionist slogans and the targeted nature of the assault pointed toward a hate-driven act of terror.
