BJP Hits Back at Kharge Over ‘Baap’ Remark, Declares PM Modi Will Remain in Office
Amit Shah alleged that the Congress has been using “abusive” language against the PM and his family over and over again. Shah on X said that Kharge had broken all the rules of decency by sharing an “indecent remark” with regard to Modi ji's father in Patna.
BJP on Sunday struck back at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge after he made an "unpalatable" comment on late Prime Minister Narendra Modi's father in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) response to the Congress-led party the party's president Nitin Nabin called the Congress as “ideological bankrupt”.
In response to Kharge's remark in Patna, Nabin said, “In Patna today, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's usage of such indecent and unparliamentary language towards the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, is an indication of the ideological bankruptcy of the Congress.”

While attending the 139th birth anniversary celebration of Bihar's first chief minister Shri Krishna Singh, Kharge was heckled by an individual in the assembly, “Modi kahin nahin jayega” – Modi will not go anywhere. Kharge replied, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega (Even his father will go).
Amit Shah slammed the Congress for using “abusive” language against the Prime Minister, and his family, on several occasions. Shah, on X, quoted Kharge as having broken all the conventions of etiquette by publicly insulting Modi ji's father in Patna.
This “was not the first time Congress party abused Modi ji or his family in any way”, he alleged, “At some stage they insulted his revered mother, at some stage they called him 'merchant of death' and at some stage they mocked his poverty by calling him 'chaiwala.'”

BJP spokesman Tuhin A Sinha also took a dig at Kharge's comments saying it was “disgusting, petulant, uncouth”.
BJP president Nitin Nabin also slammed Kharge on his comment, declaring it to be a sign of the party's “ideological bankruptcy”. On X, Nabin said that political opposition has to be dignified and the Congress was bringing deceased family members into politics.
There's also dignity to political opposition, but the process of coaxing the departed members of the family up for speeches in public, has now become the 'culture' of Rahul Gandhi and the entire opposition. This is not Kharge ji's personal statement, but a revelation of the entire Congress party's lack of decorum in its thinking,” Nabin wrote on X.
