In the last two days, Bihar witnessed two bridge collapse incidents, one in Siwan district on Wednesday and another one in Saran district on July 4.
Thus, the bridge design flaws and poor cement quality used to build the bridges are responsible for these incidents.
Amid the bridge collapse incidents, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ordered the department officials to thoroughly investigate all the old bridges in Bihar.
The Chief Minister has requested the road construction and rural works departments look into the matter as soon as possible and improve bridge maintenance policies.

However, no casualties have been reported till now in the collapse of the bridges in the last two days but it is causing huge problems for the village people as they can’t use the bridge to go to the other side and have to take a long route.
These bridges were built long ago by the local authorities and no maintenance was done to them in these years.
The officials are still investigating these bridges and trying to find out the reason behind such incidents.
