IMD Issues Orange Alert: The weather department said that from July 3 to 5 the national capital will experience cloudy with heavy to moderate rain and thunderstorms.

IMD Issues Orange Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert over Delhi for the next 3 days as Delhi experiences the introduction of Southern monsoon for a few days.
The IMD report said that Delhi is likely to receive heavy rainfall till July 2 and will experience clouds and gusty winds of 30 to 40 km/h along with thunderstorms in Delhi.
As per the reports, today Delhi might experience high-temperature conditions of 34 degrees Celsius.

On June 30 morning Delhi received heavy rainfall in parts of Rohini and Burari. On Saturday, June 29 Delhi experienced rain of 8.9 mm at Safdarjung and 12.6 mm of rain at Lodhi Road. However, Delhi usually gets about 650 mm of rain but this time it's experiencing worse conditions.
The weather department said that from July 3 to 5 the national capital will experience cloudy with heavy to moderate rain and thunderstorms.
The reports also said that Delhi's temperatures will stay between 37 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius over the next week.
On Friday, Delhi experienced 228.1 mm of rain which was marked as the start of the heavy rainfall conditions. It was also the highest rainfall in 88 years.
According to reports, due to the heavy rain, 11 deaths have been reported till now in the first two days of heavy rainfall.
As per the government, steps are being taken to reduce the waterlogged issues as rains continue for the next three days.
