Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘Very Very Very Important’ Press Conference Today at 1 PM – What to Expect?

Arvind Kejriwal’s hold Press Conference: Former Delhi chief minister and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, announced Sunday that he would hold a press conference at 2:00 pm on a matter he described as "very very very" urgent.

The AAP supremo initially said the press conference would take place at 1 pm but later rescheduled it.

“My PC today on a v v v imp issue at 1 pm,” Arvind Kejriwal said in his first post on microblogging platform X.

He later posted, “PC now at 2 pm please due to Republic day engagements.”

The votes for the Delhi assembly election will be counted on February 8. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress aim to prevent the AAP from coming back to power for the third consecutive time.

BJP vs. AAP

In other election-related news, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged voters to support the BJP in order to secure Delhi's advancement under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, accusing Arvind Kejriwal of engaging in "politics of deceit and lies" on Saturday.

Speaking at two public gatherings in Delhi prior to the assembly elections, Shah claimed that the BJP's "double-engine" government would keep all of its promises, in contrast to the AAP.

The home minister also slammed the AAP for allegedly misleading people by claiming that the BJP will discontinue all existing welfare schemes in Delhi if it comes to power in the city.

"PM Modi has assured that no existing welfare scheme for the poor in Delhi will be discontinued and Arvind Kejriwal is spreading lies... They are misleading people. I am saying it again that the BJP will not discontinue any scheme meant for the welfare of the poor," the minister said at a public meeting in Rajouri Garden.

Amit Shah claimed that aside from forsaking the Delhi populace, the AAP administration accomplished nothing in its ten years in power.

He accused the AAP government of corruption, claiming that under its rule, a number of scams were committed, including the DTC bus scams, the smart classroom scam and the CCTV scam.

He charged that public money meant for opening new hospitals and schools and cleaning the Yamuna River was wasted in "scams."

Arvind Kejriwal, who came into politics saying that he would not accept any government bungalow, built a 'sheesh mahal' worth ₹52 crore for himself, the BJP leader said.

"Arvind Kejriwal promised a corruption-free Delhi but was involved in the liquor scam worth crores of rupees," he said.

He further alleged that Kejriwal had promised to shut down liquor shops in residential areas but instead opened them near schools and religious places.
