Sanju Samson Books Entire Theatre for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, Says Tamil-Speaking Teammates Are Joining

Indian cricketer Sanju Samson is known to be a man with fans calling out his every shot on the cricket field, but there is one superstar who makes him go "ohh" while watching a game — none other than Rajinikanth. The cricketer recently shared his glee for being able to catch a glimpse of the Tamil superstar's new movie, Jailer 2, and even reserved a whole theatre to experience the movie with his family and friends.

It is noteworthy that, in a video being circulated on social media, Sanju has talked of his love for Rajinikanth and how he eagerly watches the veteran actor's films. The cricketer, who had been unable to watch the film earlier as he had a commitment in Delhi, was delighted to see the film on the big screen.

Sanju Samson hires a whole theatre for Jailer 2

Since he had to attend an event in Delhi yesterday, he said he was “a day late” to watch the film as he tries to watch as many of Rajini's films as he can, “I loved watching Rajini sir's movies, and I always look forward to his next film.”

He also said he had now booked the entire theatre for his friends and his wife is also coming to the show, saying, “My friends, my wife is also coming; everyone in the team and support staff who knows Tamil is coming. It's so happy to watch Rajini sir on the big screen.”

All About Rajinikanth's Jailer 2

Jailer 2 is sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer which stars Rajinikanth. The action thriller is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, with Rajinikanth reprising his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, a retired lawman whose life suddenly gets turned upside down.

Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Rithvik also reprise their roles with SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan joining the cast. There are two Bollywood and Kollywood stars that make surprise appearances and Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff return to their cameos.

Jailer 2’s worldwide collection has surpassed ₹477 crore. Dilipkumar expressed his gratitude to the viewers for their love for the film on Sunday. He shared a photo with Rajinikanth and music composer Anirudh Ravichander on X and captioned it as ‘Theatres are going bonkers! Thank you dear audience for the phenomenal love and the reception that Thalaivar gave to #Jailer2, nothing beats it! I thank you all for the love and support.”
