The 594 km long six-lane expressway will open the way for better connectivity of eastern and western UP to Delhi-NCR. The country's longest (operational) expressway Purvanchal Expressway has been inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh in November itself.
Ganga Expressway will be the longest expressway in Uttar Pradesh. This 594 km long expressway will connect Meerut to Prayagraj. After the construction of Ganga Expressway, it will become the longest expressway of Uttar Pradesh, leaving behind Purvanchal Expressway. The Purvanchal Expressway (341 km) has been inaugurated in November 2021 itself, which is currently the longest operational expressway in the country and UP.
The Ganga Expressway will connect the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh with the western region. The Ganga Expressway is estimated to be ready by December 2024. By that time, it will be the sixth longest expressway in the country in terms of longest expressway, because at present five expressways longer than Ganga Expressway are being built in the country.
