Delhi Head Constable Assaulted While Detaining Youths Drinking in Public in Vikaspuri
A case was already been registered under the provisions of the relevant sections of the BNS, and attempts are in process to identify and trace the accused who has absconded.
An official said on Wednesday that a group of youths allegedly beat up a Delhi Police head constable when he told them to cease alcohol consumption in a public place in Greater Kailash area of south Delhi.
This is what took place around 10.30 pm on July 19 when Sandeep posted at the Greater Kailash Police Station was patrolling around and saw six to seven men openly consuming alcohol near a restaurant in South Extension-1, he told reporters at his locality.

In the tussle, the head constable was nailed to the ground and his mobile phone is damaged. He added that the accused threatened him and took off the scene.
The case has been/is registered in applicable sections of the BNS, and it is trying to find and pursue the absconded accused.
