Congress Demands Amit Shah’s Resignation: The All India Mahila Congress, under the leadership of senior leader Alka Lamba, staged a protest demanding the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah over his controversial remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Home Minister reportedly said, "It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, If they had taken God's name many times, they would have a place in heaven."
Criticizing Shah’s statement, Alka Lamba responded sharply, "Does this mean that those who take Ambedkar's name are in hell? When the nation chants 'Modi, Modi,' no one opposes it—neither in the country nor abroad. Why didn’t Amit Shah say then that taking God’s name would ensure heaven? Ambedkar ji fought for the Constitution, and his name deserves respect."
