Woman threatens to commit suicide because the police official does not want to receive proposal of love, FIR is registered.
Bengaluru, A woman was arrested on the case of interfering with a police inspector to perform his official duties and threatening to kill herself unless he took her love proposal, police said on Wednesday.
The 45-year-old inspector who is attached to the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station of this place alleged that the woman had been harassing him on several occasions, they said.

As he complains, the harassment started on October 30 when he had begun to receive calls of an unknown woman on several phone numbers.
In these calls, she also reportedly talked incoherently and said that she had close contacts with various high ranking officials such as the Chief Minister, Deputy CM, Home Minister and other political figures.
Police claimed the woman had posted photographs through WhatsApp that allegedly showed her with these dignitaries and that she could use her contacts to pressure the inspector in order to get her offer approved. She even threatened him that she will contact her contacts to get even with him.
The inspector told me that he had instructed her to go to the police station and give a written complaint in case she had a complaint. But she failed to do that and kept on calling and messaging him and this posed a hindrance to his official work, the FIR alleged.
Anyway, as FIR reports, on November 7, the woman came to his office and provided him with an envelope with tablets of Nexito Plus and handwritten letters. The letters had emotionally-charged and indecent material, and the woman had asserted that they were written in her blood, which is an indicative of obsessive behaviour.

Although she was made aware that the number she was calling was an official departmental number that was intended to serve the general population, she still proceeded and made unnecessary calls and messages which in turn mentally harassed and blocked his usual day to day work, he alleged.
In the investigation, police became aware of the fact that the woman had supposedly shown like behaviour in the past with other police and government officials, it said.
On December 12, she supposedly visited his police station and screamed and threatened to kill herself and destroy the career of the inspector in case he failed to take her offer, a complaint he filed.
"Based on the complaint, a case was registered against the woman under Sections 132 , 351 and 221 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station. The matter is under investigation," police said.
