Woman Loses Job and Bonus After Pet Cat Accidentally Sends Resignation Letter to Boss

Woman Loses Job and Bonus: A woman from China said she lost her job after her cat clicked the send button while she was hesitating to send a resignation letter to her boss. The 25-year-old apparently has nine cats living with her in Chongqing, southwestern China.

She said she had composed a resignation letter but was hesitant to send it, seeing she relied on the job to keep finances afloat and provide for her pets. Suddenly, a cat jumped on the desk, landing right on the enter button.

She claims that it was all captured on film by a security camera inside her house.

She `immediately telephoned her employer and asked that her cat be blamed, but her boss would hear none of it. Her resignation was accepted, and it would cost her both her job and his year-end bonus.

She is currently in search of a new job as her supply for her cat's food is fast running out.

The story went viral on social media in China, leading users to claim the cat had ulterior motives. “It sounds more like your cat is doing your boss a favour, saving them a large sum of bonus money,” said one of them.

In a similar incident, a soldier from Thailand was startled to find his 4-year-old son posing with an explosive after the family dog, a Labrador-Golden Retriever, had dragged it into their garden.

The father, Sergeant Major, indicated that the family dog was raised to patrol the house and loves to play with round things and basically brings various balls home.

When it saw the fist-sized explosive, which was made by teenagers and wrapped in tape, it must have thought it was a ball.

Police and bomb disposal personnel arrived to defuse the matter. The father claimed he considered himself lucky that the bomb did not explode when the dog was carrying it in its mouth to play with his son.
