Sources close to Saif told HT that the star refused to be wheeled away and walked back on his own. The media assembled at his home cheered for the actor on his return.
On the morning of Thursday, Saif Ali Khan was attacked seven times by an assailant. The attack took place in the house where the actor lives with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their two children. Saif reached Lilavati Hospital at 3 am on Thursday, were immediately admitted. He underwent a five-hour surgery at the nearby Lilavati hospital on Thursday and was then taken for recovery into an ICU that evening. Part of the blade was removed from the actor's body.
Saif sustained six injuries in the attack, of which two were deep cuts. On Thursday, according to doctors, he reached Lilavati in spinal fluid leak, although fortunately no serious injury appeared to be present. The doctors said he was now out of danger and recovering well.

Apparently on social media and within the film community, the actor has been hailed a hero for having the courageousness to tackle the attacker head-on to protect family and staff.
On Sunday, the alleged attacker was taken into custody. The accused, a 30-year-old man identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, and changed his name to Vlad Das once he entered India, was sentenced on Sunday in a police theory for five days.
