Saif Ali Khan Discharged from Hospital 5 Days After Stabbing, Returns Home with Kareena Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan Discharged from Hospital 5 Days: Saif Ali Khan has been staying at Lilavati Hospital for the past week after he was stabbed. He was discharged, as per his source, late Tuesday evening. The actor left the hospital with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, and started his trip back to Bandra.

Saif remained in hospital for five days after he underwent emergency surgery. Doctors say he is in a good place and is on the road to recovery.

Police arrest the accused

Saif, 54, was attacked in his home in Bandra on Thursday morning. The attacker tried to stab the actor six times but was able to stab him twice. Saif reached Lilavati Hospital at 3 am on Thursday and was admitted. He had emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital for five hours and later was moved to the ICU. Some fragment of the knife that stabbed him was retrieved from his body.

Saif had reportedly suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep. The doctor mentioned that he was leaking of spinal fluid when he arrived at Lilavati Hospital and yet was lucky enough not to sustain serious injuries. He is recouping well, the doctors said.

Police arrest the accused

On Sunday, police arrested the 30-year-old accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, who changed his name to Vijay Das. On Sunday, Fakir was remanded in police custody for five days. Police are likely to recreate the crime scene at Khan's residence with the accused, an official said on Sunday. The police say that the burglar had broken into the residential building with the intention of committing a theft. In court, the accused stated that he had no knowledge of Saif and that he chose to rob that specific house, believing it belonged to a wealthy person.
