WHO says Covid-19 cases has decreased India, yet highest in the world

There has been a steady decline in new cases of corona in India for the last few days. But the World Health Organization has still expressed concern about India's corona data. According to the WHO, there was a 13 percent decline in the cases of Covid-19 in India last week, but the number of new cases of infection was the highest in the world.

Last week, more than 48 lakh new cases of corona were reported worldwide, while 86 thousand people died due to virus infection. Compared to the previous week, there was a decline of 12 and 5 percent in new cases and deaths. On May 16, the World Health Organization released the weekly epidemiological data of the Covid-19.

According to this data, the highest number of new corona cases (2,387,663) were registered in India, although there was a decline of 13 percent compared to the previous week in covid patients.
