Last week, more than 48 lakh new cases of corona were reported worldwide, while 86 thousand people died due to virus infection. Compared to the previous week, there was a decline of 12 and 5 percent in new cases and deaths. On May 16, the World Health Organization released the weekly epidemiological data of the Covid-19.
According to this data, the highest number of new corona cases (2,387,663) were registered in India, although there was a decline of 13 percent compared to the previous week in covid patients.
