Instagram user-cum-women’s health and weight management coach-basic Jaymie Moran believes that strength training is what it takes. A recent post was all about Jennifer Lopez being very fit and toned at 55 and what you must do to look like that.

Jaymie stitched a recent video on Instagram with different clips of JLo doing strength training exercises in the gym.
Pilates and Zumba are good for you, contributed Jaymie, and she does full-body resistance training which helps explain why Jennifer Lopez looks pretty godda*n amazing and this is the trick to aging well and maintaining a toned appearance in your 50s, 60s, and beyond.
He went on to say that while looking good is important, being strong as one gets older is equally necessary-according to Jaymie, we lose about 1 percent of muscle every year after turning 30. Therefore, it is essential to lift weights-a person can even start simply by performing workouts that use body weight against gravity as resistance training.
“Then, as you get stronger, you’ll need to progressively overload your training - consistently make it more challenging to stimulate your body to get stronger. This can be through adding more weights, doing more repetitions, or using a greater range of movement. But please don’t worry about that for now! Just get started with 30-minute sessions for 3 times per week,” he added.

Jaymie said that to get a body like Jennifer Lopez's, you are very much supposed to have good form, lift weight heavy enough through each and any of these workouts, and stay present every time there is a workout. Furthermore, while muscle mass tends to decrease after turning 30, this shows that a good training program in the right direction can counteract it.
“Building and maintaining her muscle mass is the key to looking and feeling great as you age. JLo has always prioritised fitness, and you might be thinking, ‘Yeah, she has had an easier ride than most’. But pointing the finger and saying that someone has it easier doesn't serve you, so stop making excuses. Whatever your age, introducing resistance training with progressive overload will make you feel stronger and leaner,” he added.
